Tiffany Quartzite, in two different applications.

Our customers selected our latest batch for their bespoke fireplace. After working on the design together, we then templated, fabricated and installed the feature.

They loved the material so much that they returned for a matching plinth, made entirely from the same stone.

20mm pieces were carefully joined and vein matched to create the impression of a single, solid block.

From slabs to precision-cut pieces.

Although @lucindakdesign couldn’t attend to plot out her worktops in person, we ensured her vision from templating guided each step.

Most notably, we incorporated the beautiful blue sections of the Amazzonia quartzite within the splashback for maximum impact.

Once approved, each piece of stone moved through the factory before being checked in our quality control area, ready for the final stage: installation.

Having travelled from London to Bristol to select Amazzonia for her worktops, it was time to visit @lucindakdesign for the site survey.

Using laser technology, our team captured every measurement of the kitchen.

Reviewing the slabs together, we discussed how the quartzite’s veining could flow across the space, placing the most visual impact on the left-hand splashback - the first surface seen when entering the room.

It makes all the difference working with people who are as enthusiastic and engaged in the details as Lucinda.

Next stop: the factory.

How to fall in love with stone.

(Hint: It’s not from a sample)

If you’re hoping for that ‘love at first slab’ moment, here’s how to set yourself up for it:

1. Experience materials in full

Always view full-size slabs you can see, feel and properly visualise. Samples only tell part of the story.

2. Bring anything & everything that might influence your decision

Paint colours, cabinet samples, tiles, fabric swatches or even your dog! Seeing everything together creates a moveable mood-board against the slabs and helps you feel confident in your choices.

3. Keep an open mind

Many arrive with one idea and leave with something new. Tours often uncover options people didn’t know existed.

Don’t forget to weigh up all of your options. Quartz, marble, granite, quartzite, terrazzo - each material brings something different to the table.

When choosing a material, visiting our stone yard is a NECESSITY! We stock the best selection of natural granite, marble, limestone, slate and engineered quartz slabs which are ALL available to view. At Bristol Marble and Granite, we believe the only way to choose the right material for your project, is to select it from full size slabs and not from a small sample; this way you can fully appreciate the beauty of your slab before it arrives in your home and giving you the full picture – which is something that a sample simply cannot do. Our visitors are always impressed and agree that seeing our slabs or pieces really is the only way to choose the material – whether it be for kitchen work surfaces or a window sill we’re here to help.

We welcome public and trade customer visits six days a week for tours of our extensive stone yard and high tech onsite workshop, with our knowledgeable and friendly staff.
