What is a HONED finish?
Honed is a more traditional finish and when impregnated is more forgiving than polished. It has a smooth, matt finish with a softer, understated appearance. It highlights the movement, colour and character of the slab which is not distracted by a bright polish. We stock this finish in marble, quartzite and granite. All honed surfaces are impregnated with at least two coats as a matter of course, which is why we recommend it for kitchens and bathrooms.

What is a LEATHER finish?
This finish gives stone real depth and character also adding another dimension in the fact that it feels as good as it looks.The brushing process enhances the slabs natural pattern and movement creating a tactile and organic finish. We stock this in granite and quartzite. All natural surfaces are impregnated.

What is a POLISHED finish?
Created by polishing the stone surface until it reaches a high gloss finish that highlights colour and veining. The reflective surface gives the stone a clean, bright appearance. We stock this finish in marble, quartzite, granite, engineered quartz and Neolith. All natural materials are impregnated.

What is a SATIN finish?
A satin finish offers a lightly textured surface with a soft sheen that catches the light without the high gloss of a polished finish . It sits between leathered and honed. It creates a clean, sleek look while still allowing the stones natural beauty to stand out. We stock this in granite and Neolith. All natural surfaces are impregnated.

What is a RIVERWASHED finish?
A textured finish inspired by naturally weathered stone, designed to create a soft, organic surface with subtle variation and definition. Riverwashed is specific to Neolith Strata Argentum.

What is a SILK finish?
Silk finish is soft to the touch, with a gentle glow. Silk is very similar to satin. We stock this finish in Neolith.
