25 gorgeous NEW granites now available.

At Bristol Marble & Granite, we are so proud of all the work we do and it’s always exciting to be invited back after the job has been completed to see the finished works – and this was definitely one of those stand out times!

Tucked away in a very exclusive part of historic Bath, this home is the perfect combination of contemporary architecture, whilst staying true to its traditional roots.

Throughout the process, the Clients were very hands-on in deciding how they wanted each element of their home to look and personally selected each material from our extensive slab yard during the planning stages. This project encompassed five different elements – the kitchen, a bespoke fireplace, master ensuite, a family bathroom and a downstairs WC – each of which is a beautiful project in its own right.

Upon entering the property, you are met with the spacious, open plan kitchen and living area with fabulous views across the Bath skyline.  However, the real showstopper in this room has to be the 3×2 metre River White natural granite island stretching out in front of the equally impressive run of worktops behind.

The island itself still holds the record for the largest single piece of granite ever installed by our team – with 14 men needed to lift and install!

The use of light grey and navy cabinetry perfectly complement the crisp white background of the natural granite, whilst the rich burgundy garnets and striking sage green veins add interest at the same time as keeping it effortlessly chic and sophisticated.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the living area. We worked alongside the Designer and the Clients to create the bespoke floating fire hearth with feature panel below, both in Silver Travertine.  Again, the mix of traditional material in an ultra-contemporary setting gives the Travertine a new lease of life.

The elegant design concept remains consistent in both the family bathroom and downstairs WC, both of which were exquisitely clad in Crema Marfil natural marble.

The bath surround in the family bathroom was made in four pieces, with the joints expertly blended to make them as discreet as possible.  The attention to detail is made ever more apparent in the niche behind the bath, where the terracotta coloured veins are perfectly matched with the wall cladding around it.

However, we have saved the best for last… the breathtakingly gorgeous Arabescato Corchia natural marble master ensuite. The Clients wanted the design to make the absolute most of this gorgeous material whilst taking nothing away from its functionality, and with the ivory base colour and dramatic blue/grey veins sweeping across this stone, what is not to love?!

The focal point of this room is, without doubt, the walk-in shower enclosure. This was clad in natural marble and book matched on all sides to give it a full wrap around.  The shower tray itself was created in the Bristol Marble workshop and sculpted to fall away to the waste which also had an insert set into the drain to make this as discreet as possible

Bespoke marble niches in the walls were created to allow for storage of shower products, and grooves cut in to drain water away.

Expertly cut and laid flooring flows across the entirety of the bathroom floor and under the free-standing bath.

Every part of this room has been beautifully thought out – from the dreamy dresser unit and unique wall shelving, to the skirting around the perimeter – and really shows off all that is amazing about natural stone.
